
The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) reported that the application of preventive vaccines suspended nationwide BCG (Tuberculosis), Rotavirus and Hepatitis B.

In a statement, the IMSS said an investigation was launched to identify the cause of such events.
Said Friday in the town of La Pimienta in the municipality of Simojovel, Chiapas, were applied to 52 children vaccines BCG (Tuberculosis), Rotavirus and Hepatitis B, as part of the National Immunization Program that aims to reduce the presence preventable diseases.
During last night a total of 31 minor adverse reactions allegedly associated with the application of these vaccines.
Currently, they hospitalized 29 children and unfortunately two died.
He said the IMSS maintains close communication with federal Health authorities and state to provide all necessary medical care to the children and all the institutional support for their families.
The general manager, José Antonio González Anaya, instructed the state delegate to the national responsible for the Epidemiological Monitoring Institute, the director of the IMSS-Prosper program, the head of delegation and a team of experts in the field, to be transferred to the area immediately to support the situation .
Staff of the Federal Commission for Protection Against Health Risks (COFEPRIS) and the National Center for Health of Children and Adolescents (CeNSIA) accompanying delegation.
